a day in the life : wild wild horses

New M.I.A. song "SHELLS"

Shells on the floor
The writing’s on the wall
Bullets in your store
Says "I’m hunting for you all"

Field full of dope
I’m harvesting my hope
Shipping out speed boats
So we’re not broke

Coca-cola floats
The stock market broke
Somewhere in Angola we’re still craving for a goat

Send me a post
Yeah, send me something you wrote
School of the hard knocks
We don’t like to boast

Go down the road
Their cars are all in snow
Boys fighting laws
Got their AKs on show

Kids playing ball
They growing like they know
Wanna make that doe
Just to have something to show

Buy Tees and Gold
Bandanas and hoes
Freedom costs money and they’re feeling really bored

Vitamins are low
Amphetamines high
Busting out shots
On rings and chicken pie
Shells on the floor
The writing’s on the wall
Bullets in your store
Says "I’m hunting for you all"

Field full of dope
I’m harvesting my hope
Shipping out speed boats
So we’re not broke

Why you gotta make me act like this
Why you gotta make me act like this
I never wanted none of this shit
Why you gotta make me act like this
I never asked for none of this shit
Why you gotta make me act like this

Talking about, talking about war war war
I rather talk about moi
Talking about, talking about war war war
I rather talk about moi
Talking about, talking about war war war
I rather talk about moi
Talking about, talking about war war war
I rather talk about moi
Talking about, talking about war war war
I rather talk about moi

May 35th Massacre

Tian'anmen Square (simplified Chinese: 天安门广场; traditional Chinese: 天安門廣場; pinyin: Tiān'ānmén Guǎngchǎng, Mandarin pronunciation: [tʰjɛn˥˥an˥˥mən˧˥]) is the large plaza near the center of Beijing, China, named after the Tiananmen (literally, Gate of Heavenly Peace) which sits to its north, separating it from the Forbidden City. It has great cultural significance as it was the site of several key events in Chinese history.

The Tiananmen Square is the largest city square in the world (440,000 m² - 880 m by 500 m) . It has been the site of many events, among them a gathering of pro-democracy protesters in 1989. The protest ended when hundreds of these protesters were killed by government troops in the streets leading from the square.

"Plastic Beach" es el titulo.

refrain syllable

words of a savage
side winder tongue in cheek
the meek shall inherit
40 acres and a mule

true view visionary
contrary to popular belief
there isn't any
day old bread lines
waiting it out asleep
to dream of choices
making our choices
decisions decisions decisions
contingent on supply and demand

backwater transistor
the battery of the 5000
oil spills and dollar bills
begin again to get the picture

it's unresolved
hanging out there
like a stolen thought

and so it goes
the long road home
paved with good intentions
capitalism is indeed
organized crime
love lost again
love lost gained
there's a light on

BROKEN BELLS

Broken Bells is an American indie rock band featuring artist–producer Brian Burton (better known as Danger Mouse) and James Mercer, the lead vocalist and guitarist for the Portland indie rock band The Shins. The project was first announced on Tuesday, September 29, 2009. The pair decided to work together after meeting at the Roskilde Festival, a Danish music festival, in 2004 and finding they were fans of each other's work. It took four more years before the two started working together and by March 2008 Mercer and Burton began recording together in secret at Burton's Los Angeles-based studio. The two describe their material as "melodic, but experimental, too."

On December 14 the band released their first email update, in which a binary-coded message stating 'The High Road is hard to find' was displayed, offering a link to the band's web page, now with a new color scheme, for 'further details'. On the morning of December 21, the band informed fans in an e-mail message of the release of their debut single "The High Road", which was made available as a free download on their official site. The self-titled debut album was released in the U.S. and Canada on March 9, 2010. Another version of the album was released as well which is designed to be a music box that plays a song when opened called "The Overture" which is not on the album.

Radio GaGa

“What I’ve discovered is that in art, as in music, there’s a lot of truth-and then there’s a lie. The artist is essentially creating his work to make this lie a truth, but he slides it in amongst all the others. The tiny little lie is the moment I live for, my moment. It’s the moment that the audience falls in love.”

Summer Heights High is a Logie Award-winning Australian television mockumentary series written by and starring Chris Lilley. It is a parody of high school life epitomised by its three protagonists: effeminate and megalomaniacal "Director of Performing Arts" Mr G; self-absorbed, privileged teenager Ja'mie King; and disobedient, vulgar Tongan student Jonah Takalua. All played by Lilley, the characters never interact. It lampoons Australian high school life and many aspects of the human condition and is filmed in a documentary style, with non-actors playing supporting characters.

Following a similar format to Lilley's previous series, We Can Be Heroes: Finding The Australian of the Year, Lilley plays multiple characters in the show. Filmed in Melbourne at Brighton Secondary College, the series premiered on 5 September 2007 at 9:30 pm on ABC TV and continued for eight weekly episodes. Each episode was also released as a weekly podcast directly after its screening via both the official website and through any RSS podcast client in either WMV or MPEG4.

Summer Heights High was a massive ratings success for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, and was met with mostly positive critical reaction. The series debuted on 5 September 2007 and the eight-part series ended on 24 October 2007. On 26 March 2008, it was announced that the show had been sold for international distribution to BBC Three in the United Kingdom, HBO in the United States, and Comedy Network in Canada.

Love and Other Disasters

Emily Jackson lives a fast-paced life. Always on the go, able to talk around the clock, with a sensitive soul she loves playing matchmaker for her friends. It's Emily's gay roommate and frequent companion Peter, who becomes again the subject matchmaking skills when handsome new photographer assistant Paolo arrives at the Vogue offices, where Emily works. She makes it her mission to bring the two men together. Unfortunately for her, she is so busy arranging a love connection between Peter and Paolo that she remains completely blind to the one suitor who longs to provide her with the loving companionship that she so cheerfully arranges for others. And so it does make sense that Peter, a screenwriter in the making, starts telling the story from his own point of view. Written by kerrsmith2306
